BINTULU: Deputy Minister of Energy and Environmental Sustainability (MEESty), Dr Hazland Abang Hipni, attended a coordination meeting with agencies under MEESty, which are Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB), Petroleum Sarawak Berhad (PETROS) and Natural Resources and Environment Board (NREB) here recently.
After the meeting, the deputy minister took the opportunity to visit and meet up with a few industrial players in Tanjung Kidurong Industrial Area, said a spokesperson in a press statement here yesterday.
During the short visit, he also discussed the potential programmes to rehabilitate Sungai Plan with one of major industrial player at Kidurong.
Prior to his visit, he has taken notes on the challenges faced by the industrial player.
Senior Environmental Control Officer (head of NREB Bintulu), Sinanawati Marto and head of Department of Environmental (DOE) Bintulu Abdul Mazli Hafiz Abdul Malik were amongst those present.
