Deputy minister visits Huawei HQ

KUCHING: Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Deputy Minister Chong Chieng Jen yesterday made an official working visit to Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd headquarters in Shenzhen, China.

Together with the delegates from his ministry, they were received by Huawei global public affairs vice president Steven Sheng.

The working visit is to understand and explore on the potential collaboration with Huawei on how to increase the adaptation of digital technology and economy especially in the distributive trade field.

Huawei has been successful in building and becoming one of the leading brands that can create digital product and services for all industry.

The company spends about 15 percent of its revenue mainly on R&D which shows that it is really concerned about developing the brand hence helping the industry grows forward by introducing new technology.

The government had expressed interest to work together with Huawei in Malaysia to help develop the country to be more
technology-driven.
