Deputy premier inspects development projects

LAWAS: Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan paid a visit to several areas in the Lawas district to inspect several development projects which were being implemented.

According to the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS), Awang Tengah, who is also Bukit Sari assemblyman, and his entourage recently visited Kampung Bangkatan to inspect the Water Treatment Plant project.

The project is an initiative of the Sarawak government to ensure that the residents in Lawas district, especially around Merapok, can enjoy clean and treated water.

The deputy premier also visited Kampung Patarikan, Merapok to inspect the Patarikan Tourism Facilities project.

Among the projects visited were the construction of jetties, information centres and kiosks.

Also present were Deputy Resident of Limbang Division, Jamalie Busrie, Lawas incumbent Datuk Henry Sum Agong and political secretary to the Premier of Sarawak, Awangku Zainal Abidin Datuk Pengiran Jawa.
