“Wait for my final announcement…there are a lot of things that have not been detailed yet,” he told reporters after launching the ‘Cultural Night Run @ Penang 2nd Bridge’ here today.

Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng was reported as saying on Feb 6 that RM3.1 billion in costs could be saved from the termination of the Pan Borneo Highway Sarawak project delivery partner (PDP) agreement.

He said the estimated financial implications to the government with the previous involvement of the PDP company amounted to RM21.9 billion while the estimated financial implications after the termination of the PDP agreement would amount to RM18.8 billion.

Bian added that he would also provide updates on the progress of the physical aspects of the project, which he said had reached 43 per cent.

He said during the event, the participants would wear their traditional costumes as a way to showcase the cultures of this country and boost the tourism industry. – Bernama
