SIBU: Distrepark Sdn Bhd the developer of SibuJaya brought fun and laughter to a longhouse at Durin here recently. According to Agatha Ting, a sales and marketing executive the outreach programme was hosted to engage children in Rumah Philip Kayak, Durin, located about 20 minutes from the Sibu Jaya township.

“It’s also our way to thank and also be with the community surrounding our vibrant and exciting township”, she said.

The event held from 9.00am to 12noon saw 80 children from various races participating in a colouring contest and also a series of fun games. William Ting, a lawyer who was present gave the thumbs up to Distrepark for hosting such an event.

Ting said it was an innovative way for SibuJaya to be with the people and said from his conversation with the longhouse folks, the event also gave the parents some reprieve as they were all busy preparing for Gawai.

“I look forward to joining the SibuJaya team for more of such events as it brings everyone closer and creates a very healthy environment for the children to engage in meaningful and fun activities,” he said.
