BINTULU: A total of 180 runners participated in the Diabetes Run 6.5 (v.2) programmes on Sunday at Tanjung Batu Beach here.
According to Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS) news report, the programme aimed to raise awareness among the public about diabetes and adopt a healthy lifestyle.
“The programme was organised by Columbia Asia Hospital Bintulu in collaboration with the Malaysian Diabetes Association Bintulu in conjunction with World Diabetes Day which was celebrated on last November 14.
“For the record, this activity was first time held in 2019 with a total of 804 participants participated in the run,” it said.
Also present were the President of Bintulu Malaysia Diabetes Association, Dr. Rawa Bau and the General Manager of Colombia Asia Bintulu Hospital, Hazlin Sham Ibrahim.
