Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) chairman Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Husain said SEDC organised the programme to foster the spirit of sharing and giving among the society.

“This kind of initiative also can give good opportunity to disabled community to celebrate the upcoming Christmas Day,” he said, adding SEDC saw the event as its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) effort to assist the needy.

According to him, the SEDC has implemented various activities to lessen the burden of needy families.

“The annual programme this year invited 166 children from Perkata and 98 from KAA to celebrate the happiness of celebrating the festive season,” he said.

The children received bags containing food, stationery and pocket money of RM50 each.
