KUCHING: Hope Place recently donated a wheelchair to physically-challenged Awel Uchan, 81. According to Hope Place Founder Kelvin Wan, Awel is paralysed since two years ago. “Currently, Awel’s daughter Cecelia takes care of him on full time basis.

Cecilia who works in a hotel before had no choice but to resign from her job in order to take care of her father full-time,” he said.

Besides the wheelchair, Awel also received foodstuffs and adult pampers from the association. Hope Place visits the poor and less fortunate families to bring them essential food items.

They can be reached at 013-5672775 and 082-505987 from 8.30am to noon and 2pm to 5pm on Mondays to Fridays, and from 9am to noon on Saturday.

Those interested to make cash donation may bank the cash to Persatuan Kebajikan Harapan Kuching at Maybank account 5112-8900-1160.
