KUCHING: Pakatan Harapan (PH) should ask Selangor and Penang to implement the local council elections before challenging Sarawak to do it.

Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) supreme council members Datuk Ahmad Ibrahim said this is another case of PH not thinking before they talk.

“Why don’t they start doing it in Penang and Selangor all these years before the last general election?

“Why hammer our Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg on this? Nothing better to do, just love to complain!” said Ahmad.

He advised PH or Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) to set an example on how successful they can implement all the promises made in their election manifesto.

On Aug 3, PKR Sarawak information chief Desmond Kho had urged the Sarawak government to implement the local council elections.

“PH cannot even get the United Examination Certificate (UEC) recognised and accepted by the Federal Ministry of Education since taking over Putra Jaya.

“Sarawak is today the only state government that has recognised and accepted UEC,” he pointed out.

Ahmad advised Sarawak PH leaders to solve its internal problems first.

“Where does your loyalty lies? How many new projects have been approved for Penang, Kedah, Selangor to name a few, since taking over Putra Jaya?

“How many projects have been cancelled and downsized in Sarawak since they took over? Why don’t Sarawak PH champion Sarawak’s interests first before their own party interest. Be truthful in serving the people of Sarawak,” he pointed out.

“Sarawak government has abolished toll all over Sarawak since the late Tok Nan’s tenure of office.

“When is PH ever going to remove highway tolls in Semenanjung Malaysia?” asked Ahmad.
