KUCHING: A doctor nearly died from an attempted suicide in his home at Jalan Kapor, Sungai Maong yesterday afternoon.
Yesterday afternoon at about 2pm, he downed a significant amount of pills and family members were shocked to find him groggy and incoherent.
He was then rushed to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) where his stomach was pumped and he was sent to the ward for observation.
According to sources, the 27-year-old doctor has been complaining of work-related stress for a while.
It is also known that there were doctors who work almost 24-hours straight at the hospital.
Family members were angry with the hospital for piling the victim with heavy workload.
