PUTRAJAYA: The Department of Environment (DoE) clarified today that a technical fault resulted in inaccurate Air Pollutant Index (API) readings between 1pm and 6pm yesterday at its data centre.

The DoE said in a statement that it has identified the cause of the fault and will ensure that it does not recur.

An API reading of zero to 50 indicates that the air quality is good; 51 to 100, moderate; 101 to 200, unhealthy; 201 to 300, very unhealthy and 301 and above, hazardous. – Bernama
