KUCHING: Sarawak Hun Nam Siang Tng, a charitable institution here, will be presenting food and festive items to needy families in conjunction with the upcoming Aidilfitri celebration and Gawai celebration.
Sarawak Hun Nam Siang Tng chairman Tay Boon Sin explained that the institution gave aid annually to the less fortunate during festive seasons besides monthly aid to the poor.
One hundred and seven Muslim families will receive the donations at the institution on May 9 while 65 Dayak families will receive theirs on May 29.
Team Dynamic Kuching, a non-governmental organisation (NGO) led by Eric Tay Tze Kok, has added 172 sets of Mukah fish and prawn crackers to the donations as well.
Tay thanked the NGO for helping the less fortunate.
