KUCHING: Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar has reminded everyone, be they youth or senior citizens, not to be hesitant or afraid of receiving the Covid-19 vaccine.

“Instead, be aware of the importance of taking these vaccines to reduce the risk of infection,” he said in a Facebook post on Monday night (May 24).

In his post, he also shared his experience of receiving the Covid-19 vaccine.

“Thankfully, I have already completed two doses of the Covid-19 vaccination in March, and I did not experience any side effects. I only felt a slight numbness in the part of my arm which was injected for two days,” he said.

Nevertheless, he said he could still work as usual.

Wan Junaidi, 70, who is also Santubong MP, pointed out that muftis throughout the country had decided that the use of the vaccines was a must and that there were no restrictions in terms of ‘syarak’ (Islamic law).
