BINTULU: The local people have been told not to fear being vaccinated under the national Covid-19 immunisation programme.
Bintulu Member of Parliament (MP) Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing said all citizens should be prepared to be vaccinated for personal protection and for the common good.
Tiong, who is also Prime Minister’s Special Envoy to the People’s Republic of China, said this after reviewing the implementation of the immunisation programme at the Bintulu Divisional Level Phase 1 Series 2 at the Sri Kenyalang Hall of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) Bintulu Campus this afternoon.
After receiving his vaccine jab a few days ago, he said he was healthy, proving that the vaccine was not harmful.
He then requested the Ministry of Health (MOH) to speed up the vaccination process because there are many oil and gas workers in Bintulu and they move around a lot.
