Dr Sim continues CNY visit in Sibu

SIBU: The President of Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP), Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian paid several Chinese New Year visits to community leaders and chairmans of associations here yesterday.

Dr Sim, who is also the Minister for Local Government and Housing, made his first stop at the residence of Temenggong Dato Vincent Lau Lee Ming in Camar Road.

Then, he attended the SUPP Sibu luncheon in conjunction with Chinese New Year celebration 2018 at Sibu Civic Centre. The luncheon was made merrier with the presence of Chief Minister, Datuk Patinggi (Dr) Abang Johari Tun Openg and Deputy Chief Minister, Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas.

Dr Sim then continued his visit to the residence of United Chinese Association of Sibu president, Kong Hian Khim.

He then proceeded to the residences of SUPP Deputy President II, Chieng Buong Toon and former Assistant Minister of Public Health, Datuk Dr Soon Choon Teck in Gambir Road.

Accompanying Dr Sim during the visits were the Political Secretary to Chief Minister, Michael Tiang, SUPP Bawang Assan chairman, Robert Lau, SUPP Nangka chairman, Chua Beng Seng, SUPP Dudong chairman, Wong Ching Yong, SUPP Dudong deputy chairman, Kelvin Kong, SUPP Bukit Assek Youth chief, Joseph Chieng and members of SUPP.
