SIBU: Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian yesterday (Feb 13) visited the homes of Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) members in conjunction with Chinese New Year (CNY).

The SUPP president, who is also Minister of Public Health, Housing and Local Government, was accompanied by wife Datin Amar Enn Ong Siok Ean.

Their first stop was at the residence of Nangka SUPP chairman Chua Beng Seng at Jalan Kandis.

Dr Sim and his entourage then proceeded to the home of Sibu Rural District Council deputy chairman, who is also SUPP Dudong branch chairman Wong Ching Yong’s home at Jalan Sawi.

Dr Sim wrapped up his series of visits for the first day with a stop at the home of former Dudong assemblyman and SUPP Dudong branch advisor Datuk Dr Soon Choon Teck.

Among those accompanying him were Bukit Assek assemblyman Joseph Chieng and Sibu Municipal Council chairman Clarence Ting.

Earlier, Dr Sim and wife also accompanied Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg and his wife Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang on their CNY visits to local Chinese leaders.

They visited Temenggong Datuk Vincent Lau Lee Ming and Pansar Group managing director Pemanca Datuk Jason Tai.
