KUCHING: The Sentuhan Kasih Kuching Community-based Rehabilitation Centre (PDK) has received some allocation from Bandar Kuching MP Dr Kelvin Yii Lee Wuen for the needs of the children.

Dr Yii visited the centre with his special assistant George Lam Li Kang to distribute ang pows (red packets) and Love Gifts to the special needs children, staff, and volunteers today (Feb 1).

Sentuhan Kasih is a centre which is run mainly by volunteers, and serves as a rehabilitation care for special needs children.

The centre helps children to learn certain skills that would help them become self-sufficient and independent, hence allowing these kids to integrate into society.

“Such an initiative is one of the ways for us to show our appreciation to them (staff and volunteers) for their dedication and patience in helping and educating these children.

“Seeing the smile on the faces of the children makes all the effort worth it,” he said.
