SRI AMAN: Chaos unfolded in Taman Padri here as a python invaded a residence, posing a serious threat to a resident’s beloved pet chicken.

However, a swift and dramatic rescue operation unfolded on Tuesday (June 6), ensuring the chicken’s survival.

Under the cover of darkness, the 5m-long python managed to infiltrate the chicken coop situated at the rear of the house.

The homeowner, alarmed by the commotion coming from the coop, sprang into action to protect their cherished poultry. They promptly contacted the appropriate agency for assistance.

Upon arrival, the Civil Defence Force (APM) spokesperson confirmed that the reptile was still trapped inside the coop.

With great skill and employing a range of techniques, including the use of lures, the team successfully captured the snake without harm.

Thanks to the agency’s prompt response, the python was prevented from turning the coop into its hunting ground and preying upon the helpless chickens.

Subsequently, the python was released back into its natural habitat, far away from the residential area.
