MUKAH: “You need to have a dream to succeed,” said Associate Professor Dr Jeniri Amir in a motivational talk ‘Belajar Cara Belajar’ (Learning Studying Method) organised by SMK St Patrick here recently.
According to him, students must be highly driven to achieve success and that such dream must be instilled in every one of them.
Jeniri gave his insight on how to excel to a total of 243 students in attendance, comprising Form 3(123) and Form 5 (120) students — held at Kampung Tellian Tengah, Mukah multi-purpose hall.
Meanwhile, senior administrative assistant cum organising chairman Cyril Germanus said the programme was intended to create an awareness among the students as they are approaching adulthood.
He added that a mature mentality is needed in order for them to know that it is their responsibility to educate themselves for their own future, family and the nation.
The programme aimed at creating awareness amongst students on their role and responsibilities apart from encouraging parents’ involvement in guiding their children in education.
The one-day programme was organised by SMK St Patrick Mukah in collaboration with JKKK Kampung Tellian Tengah.
Also attending were parents of the students and teachers.
