MIRI: A woman was unconscious after her car rammed into a tree trunk at Tanjong-Luak Road on Friday night.

It was believed that the woman had lost control of the car and veered off the road before it rammed into a tree by the roadside.

The injured 27-year-old driver was immediately taken to Miri Hospital for treatment after the crash.

The woman was alone in the car.

Eight firemen from Miri fire station led by Abang Muhammad Fhazil Abang Abdul Manaf were immediately mobilised to the location following a distress call received at 8.32pm.

Upon arrival at the crash site, the team immediately attended to the injured driver and helped her get out of the car before she was taken to Miri Hospital in an ambulance.
