BAU: Two drivers were injured after their cars collide with each other along Jalan Kampung Skiat Baru here this morning.
The accident, involving a Perodua Myvi and a Proton Saga, happened around 6.50 am.
Firefighters from Bau station were dispatched to the scene after receiving a distress call from Bau Hospital.
Upon arrival, the team found the Myvi driver, a 26-year-old woman, pinned to her seat and extrication works were performed to free her.
Meanwhile, the Saga driver, a 43-year-old man, managed to get out from his car before the firefighters arrived.
Both victims were later handed over to paramedics for on-site treatment before being taken to the hospital for further medical attention. The extent of their injuries was not known.
Flushing works were conducted at the scene to ensure that the road is safe for other users.
