TANJUNG MANIS: The body of an Indonesian man who fell off a fishing boat on September 7 was found floating here by a fisherman, on Thursday.
According to State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), the Tanjung Manis fire station received a call on the find by a fisherman from Kampung Rajang.
Upon receiving the call, firefighters who were involved in the search and rescue (SAR) operation immediately went to the scene.
“They found the remains of Ikbal Ramadan floating in the river.
“The deceased’s roommate, identified as Taruji – who was at the scene – confirmed the body was that of his missing 27-year-old friend based on his clothing,” Bomba said in a statement.
