MUKAH: Police detained a 28-year old man believed to be involved in drug abuse at a parking lot in Jalan Pinang Mukah on Friday (May 13).
Mukah district police chief, DSP Muhamad Rizal Alias said the arrest was conducted by the district police’s Narcotics Criminal Investigation Division (NCID) during Ops Tapis.
“The team conducted a search on the suspect and found a white cigarette box containing a transparent plastic packet of crystal, suspected to be methamphetamine, weighing 0.30g and worth around RM50,” said the police chief.
The suspect is currently under remand pending investigations under Section 12(2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
