KUCHING: Police seized drugs worth more than RM20,000 from a car at a parking lot of a luxury condominium on Thursday (June 17).
Acting on information, narcotics police raided the parking lot around 6pm.
District police chief ACP Ahsmon Bajah said the car driver, aged 35, was arrested on suspicion of involvement in drug abuse activities.
“The raiding team discovered numerous packets containing Ecstasy drugs weighing around 1.5kg and valued at RM24,500. Cash of RM1,116 cash and the car were also seized,” he said.
ACP Ahsmon said the case is being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
