Drunken man starts fight in supermarket

KUCHING: A viral video of a fight in a supermarket at Kota Sentosa, is believed to be started by a man who did not want to wear a face mask when entering the premises.

Sources said the incident happened around 4pm on Friday (May 28). The brawl was recorded by members of the public and it went viral in Whatsapp and other social media platforms.

It is said that the man in his 30s, entered the premises in a drunken state without wearing a face mask.

Prior to the fight, the supermarket’s management advised the man to wear a face mask before entering.

However, the man was stubborn and went amok. He is believed to have exchanged blows with several supermarket staffs.

The man had fled the scene when police were alerted of the incident.

Padawan deputy police chief DSP Lim Jaw Shyong when contacted, confirmed the viral incident and informed that both parties have yet to lodge any police report.
