MIRI: Police here have arrested two local men and seized 2,000 grammes of methamphetamine valued at RM72,000 during an operation on Friday night.
According to Miri OCPD ACP Alexson Naga Chabu, the duo was detained by a team of Miri District Narcotics Criminal Investigation Division around 9.45 pm by the roadside of an undisclosed location.
“The police also seized a Toyota Vellfire vehicle believed to be worth RM270,000,” he said in a statement here today.
Both suspects are currently being placed under a seven-day remand for questioning starting from today.
The case is being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
