KUCHING: Two men have been arrested for possession of drugs on Monday at Jalan Matang here. The arrest took place in front of Matang Maybank at 9.45pm after Insp Fariq Nazmi Mustafa and a team of police officers found two plastic packages containing clear substances, believed to be syabu, in a black bag on the ground next to a Perodua Kenari.
The packages were weighed at 32.03g. Both suspects, aged 34 and 27, were tested positive for methamphetamine and admitted that the drugs were bought via bank transaction. The suspects were detained at Siburan police station for further investigation.
