KUCHING: In conjunction with the coming Chinese New Year, the Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) unit of SJK Chung Hua No 5, will organise an electronic waste (e-waste) collection event at SJK Chung Hua No 5 from 9:00am to 12:00noon on 20th January 2018 (Saturday) .
The objective is to minimise the disposals of e-waste into landfills and to offer the public a safe and secure disposal of their out-of-date IT assets and e-waste. Members of the public can bring along their old, obsolete computer parts, accessories, television, refrigerators and other electrical appliances for recycled.
Members of the public could also donate old clothing. The money collected will be used to carry out community service.
