MIRI: Fire broke out in a beauty store on the first floor of a building in Marina Phase 1 here early this morning.
Fortunately, there were no injuries, according to a statement from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Operations Centre.
The statement also noted that the damage was moderate.
Firefighters from the Miri Central fire station rushed to the scene after receiving an emergency call about the blaze at 6.34 am.
They employed a fire rescue ladder to access the affected building and succeeded in extinguishing the flames by 6.58 am.
Authorities are currently investigating to determine the exact cause of the fire.
