IGAN: A family of five, including a two-year-old toddler, had a brush with death when their house at Kampung Skrang here was engulfed in flames today (Oct 15).

According to the State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), six firefighters were despatched to the scene following an alert received at 2.10am.

Upon arrival, the firefighters found the two-storey semi-permanent house engulfed in flames.

“The house was 80 percent damaged. The cause of the fire is still under investigation and no casualties were reported,” the statement said.

The operation ended at 5.15am
