Edward relected as DAP Serian branch chairman

SERIAN: Edward Andrew Luwak has been re-elected chairman of DAP Serian branch during the party’s recent branch annual general meeting (AGM). He has been heading the branch since it was first formed in July 2011.

This year’s AGM saw a record turnout of about 70 active members, nine of whom are life members.

Padungan Assemblyman Wong King Wei, a member of DAP Sarawak Central Committee member, was the Speaker during the AGM.

Edward is assisted to lead the branch by Nyanung ak Ragong, who replaced ex-Councilor Robin ak Mayun as vice-chairman.

The nine elected committee members of the branch are as follows: chairman – Edward Andrew Luwak, vice-chairman – Nyanung anak Ragong, secretary – Sakong b Lek, assistant secretary – Lucia anak Pinda, treasurer – Lam Sui Lian, publicity secretary – Robin anak Mayun, Women affairs secretary – Zira Arin Dismas Cintir, committee members – INyamin anak Edong and Mary Dikin. The new committee will appoint six other committee members based on the party’s constitution at its first meeting, scheduled to be held before the end of the month.
