SRI AMAN: In support of the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme, Assistant Minister of Community Wellbeing Datuk Francis Harden Hollis took up the responsibility of ensuring the programme’s smooth implementation by visiting Dewan Suarah Sri Aman, the vaccination centre for Sri Aman district, on Sunday.

The Simanggang assemblyman was welcomed by Dr Janariah Jangani, the district’s immunisation programme coordinating officer; Fatimah Stam, divisional health officer representative, nurse supervisor; and Kuso Jantan, the Dewan Suarah manager.

The programme took place from 14 to 16 March, involving 600 individuals who had signed up as recipients.

The three-day programme involved members from support groups and frontliners.

“I thank the Ministry of Health (MoH) (personnel) from the Sri Aman Divisional Health Office for their hard work in implementing the district’s National Immunisation Programme, an operation that serves to break the transmission chain of Covid-19.

“We must also take into account those from the support groups and the frontliners who have vaccinated voluntarily. We may experience a little pain, but the benefits from the vaccine will make the body more resistant to the disease,” said Harden.
