DALAT: A total of eight schools in Dalat were yesterday closed due to floods with water level expected to rise if the rains continue.

These schools were forced to close because the premises were inundated by flood water. In addition, foot paths and access roads to those schools also had to be closed due to being submerged by flood.

Among the schools closed due to flood are SK Sungai Ud, SK Kampong Tanam, SK St. Bernard, SK Klid, SK St. John and SJKC Chin Hua.

According to residents in Klid, water level was recorded at the height of 6 feet and 9 inches on the 6 Tuesday February and said to have been receding one inch starting yesterday.

Schools under the Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina implemented Pre UPSR 1 on 6 February until 8 February 2018. Therefore, SJKC Chin Hua which had been flooded had postponed the date of implementation of the test to yesterday 7th February 2018.
