MIRI: Eight schools were presented with the Yayasan Sarawak School Uniform Assistance vouchers here on Friday.

The handover was held at the Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Senadin service centre by Senadin assemblyman Datuk lee Kim Shin.

According to Lee, who is also Transport Minister, the assistance aimed to ease the financial burden of parents in providing for their children’s schooling needs.

The vouchers are worth RM200 for each recipient to purchase school uniforms, shoes, and school bags at registered outlets throughout Sarawak.

The eight schools that received the vouchers were SMK Merbau, SMK Pujut, SMK Baru, SK Tudan, SK Anchi, SK Kuala Baram, SK Lutong, and SJKC Chung Hua Tudan.
