Elderly woman robbed of RM400 cash

MIRI: Two strangers pretended to be injured before they robbed an elderly woman in her flat in Permyjaya on Monday evening.

According to sources, the two suspects took away cash amounting to RM400 from the victim during the incident.

Fortunately the victim could remember their motorcycle’s plate number which made it easier for the police to trace one the suspects who was was nabbed on Tuesday afternoon around 1pm in Permyjaya. His accomplice, however, is still at large.

Sources added, in the incident, the duo came to the victim asking for cotton bandage.

They had the victim’s sympathy.

As she walked into her room looking for the bandage, she was followed by the suspects who found that she had RM400 kept in her drawer. They immediately took the cash and fled from the scene, leaving the victim helplessly regretting her sympathy.
