MIRI: The Magistrate Court here ordered a 37 year-old local man to be remanded for four days from Tuesday to facilitate investigations into electricity cable theft case. The man was caught redhanded while trying to steal electricity cables belonging to Sesco.
He was detained by e-Mart supermarket security guards in Tudan around 9am on August 26. According to the fact-sheet, prior to the discovery, four security guards of e-Mart Tudan supermarket, while on patrolling routine, spotted the accused digging out an electrical pole belonging to Sesco. The security guards subsequently arrested the accused and seized an electric pole cover from him.
