KUCHING: The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) has announced the end of the enhanced movement control order (EMCO) at Kampung Binyu Lama, Kuching.

It said this decision was arrived at given that the results of the second screening had not found any new positive cases there.

“In addition, there is no evidence of ongoing infection in that area,” it said in a statement today.

The committee expressed their appreciation to all agencies and villagers on their cooperation in making the EMCO a success.

On another matter, SDMC asserted that they had never appointed any agents to assist in the application for entry into Sarawak through the enterSarawak application.

“Strict action will be taken against those who claim to work as a member of SDMC to fill the application form and get approval through the enterSarawak application,” they warned.

Regarding the status of districts in the state, it said Kabong district had changed status from green to yellow after recording one new local infection case yesterday.

“This increases the number of yellow districts to 17 and reduces the number of green ones to four,” the committee pointed out.

There are 15 red districts and four orange districts in the state, SDMC said.
