EMCO for eight localities

KUCHING: Eight localities were put under the enhanced movement control order (EMCO) as announced yesterday (June 28).

The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) declared in its statement yesterday that the rental room (Bilik Sewa) above Hii Auto Service Centre at Medan Jaya in Bintulu was put under EMCO from June 26 until July 9.

Meanwhile, the teachers’ quarters of Block B, SMK Sebauh in Sebauh underwent EMCO from June 27 until July 10.

As of Monday, two longhouses — Rumah Kedeney, Beleti Undop in Sri Aman and Rumah Mary, Batu 3, Jalan KJD, Bintangor — were put under EMCO until July 11 and July 14 respectively.

Kampung Tematu in Kuching will undergo its EMCO on June 29 until July 12 whereas Rumah Engkabang, Sungai Kerapa Selalang in Sarikei will also start its EMCO on the same date until July 15.

From June 30, Rumah Catherine Tamoh, Sungai Aup in Sibu and workers quarters of Ladang Mukah 1 (SPAD) in Mukah will undergo EMCO until July 13.

On another note, the committee also declared the extension of EMCO in five areas.

Blocks E2, E3 & W5, Foreign Lodge and Blocks LL1, LL2 & LL5, Local Lodge at Samalaju Industrial Park Bintulu will extend its EMCO to July 3.

Two areas in Mukah namely Rumah Alat Mukan and Mukah Palm Oil Mill will be extended until July 12.

Two longhouses — Rumah Mara, Gran C, Tanjung Bijat in Sri Aman and Rumah Sandai, Sungai Mapai — will continue its EMCO until July 6.

The SDMC had also declared the end of EMCO for Rumah Robert Pengabang in Sebauh and workers quarters of GSS Port, Samalaju in Bintulu last Saturday (June 27).

As of yesterday (June 28), Rumah Juliana, Sungai Kabu in Sarikei; Kampung Darat Gerigat in Kabong; and workers quarters of Ladang Semai Mekar in Bintulu ended its EMCO.
