MIRI: The ‘Tech Safari 2.0’ Subis programme by the Centre of Technical Excellence (Centexs) and Sarawak Multimedia Authority (SMA) was launched today with a mission to provide digital platform aimed at empowering local communities in various services.

The launch of the outreach programme to provide greater awareness of digital technology to local communities was graced by Deputy Minister of Women, Childhood and Community Development I Datuk Rosey Yunus at Bekenu multipurpose hall.

Also present were Centex’s deputy director (Industry) Dr Nadianatra Musa, representatives from SMA, its strategic partners namely Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation (SDEC); Ministry of Education, Innovation and Talent Development (MEITD) ; AMAIDA Resources Sdn Bhd (Oil and Gas); MIWT Global Resources Sdn Bhd Training centre; Blue.Point School of Hospitality; and Rozsall.

Today’s launching in Subis is the first phase of the programme, which will be extended to other areas such as Mukah, Bintulu and Serian.
