MUKAH: The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) Sarawak is always committed to empower consumers through education to impart knowledge so that they could play their role as responsible consumers.

The ministry said consumer education is actively organised through various media platforms to ensure that consumers obtained necessary information and knowledge.

“The seminar was organised in collaboration with Mukah District Office at Menara Pehin Setia Raja here on Tuesday (Mar 30),” it said.

Some 50 community leaders in this district attended the half-day seminar, which touched on consumer rights and responsibility as well as consumers claim tribunal.

The ministry hoped that the participants would help in disseminating the information and knowledge obtained to the people in their respective areas to create a knowledgeable and responsible society.
