KUCHING: The state government is committed to continuing to assist the younger generation through youth empowerment programmes aimed at developing highly innovative human capital.

Assistant Minister of Natural Resources and Urban Development Datuk Len Talif Salleh pointed out that numerous government policies and initiatives took into account the aspirations and needs of the youth.

Len said this when he officiated at the closing ceremony of an ‘i-think’ Programme with the Youth, organised by Taman Susur Jambu Sarikei Recreational Sports Club in collaboration with Sarikei Community College at Sri Nyelong Sarikei.

“This programme is an initiative to expose the youth to the space and opportunities in expanding their knowledge and skills in learning and business.

“It aims to open the minds of the youth by getting involved in activities to prepare them for their future roles,” said the Kuala Rajang assemblyman.

Len Talif noted that the club also helped youths who wanted to further their studies at suitable educational institutions.
