KUCHING: Almost a hundred parents and teachers attended the Sara’s Christmas Charity Run at Saradise Edge here today.

The participants, including young children and their parents and siblings, ran in two categories: 5km Run and 3km Run.

One of the participants, Wendy Mandau, who is also the Principal of PERKATA Special School at Jalan Ong Tiang Swee received RM20,000 for the operations of the school from the organisers and sponsors of the function.

She said there are currently 84 students studying in the 50-year-old school.

Tagging along with her in the event were her husband and two young daughters, Clarissa, 8, from SJK Chung Hua No 2 and Isabel Suta, a 5-year-old kindergarten pupil.
