KUCHING: Residents in the Beluru district are responding very well to the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (NCIP).
Assistant Minister for Local Government Datuk Dr Penguang Manggil said this was seen among the vaccine recipients of all age groups.
“The response to the immunisation programme here is very encouraging and I am happy that the acceptance of the Beluru district community of various ages towards this programme is very positive,” he said in a Facebook post after visiting the Beluru Community Hall vaccination centre (PPV) to monitor the vaccine rollout on Saturday (June 19).
“Since commencing operations on June 11, the Beluru Community Hall PPV has successfully administered Covid-19 vaccine to 4,200 people from nearby longhouses and villages.
“Congratulations to all vaccination centre staff from various agencies who worked hard in managing this Covid-19 Immunisation Programme.
“I also thank the people who have given their cooperation in making this programme a success,” he said.
Penguang also visited the PPV at Long Lama. The PPV will cater to the residents of longhouses and villages from the Marudi constituency.
