Rubiah addresses PBB women members at the SKE event.

DEBAK: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) members at various levels should assume that the 12th state election (PRN12) will take place tomorrow so that their readiness is at the highest level.

Kota Samarahan MP Rubiah Wang, who is also chairman of Sarawak Kita Empun (SKE) said, “Although we do not know the actual date, PRN12 will definitely come soon.

“Therefore, the supreme council of PBB Women Wing is now more actively going down to the field to ensure that party members especially the women, are always on standby … assume PRN12 will happen tomorrow,” she said.

“It is because PRN12 is the first election for Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg as Chief Minister and Chairman of GPS … so it is most important.

“Firstly for us to give a mandate to him once again to be the chief minister and secondly, this PRN carries a new emblem,” she added.

Rubiah said she wanted everyone to ensure that the Barisan Nasional (BN) logo or other logos no longer overshadowed the people.

“Get rid of BN’s blue uniform and instead remember the red and white uniform which is GPS,” she said at a SKE programme for Saribas constituency today.

She exhorted that Sarawakians must prove to Malaysia that the state would continue to move forward under GPS.

Rubiah described SKE as not only a platform to strengthen the party members, but also a medium for motivational purposes.

“I believe a little bit of the courage of the red and white party members will be more cohesive and always ready to organise strategies and activities to reach out to voters.”

She also reminded all party members to adopt the latest technology in campaigning.
