Assistant Minister in the Chief Minister’s Department Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi assured that the initiative would enhance the learning environment in schools. He said this was important as the country was facing the challenges of digital revolution.

“We are working on transforming SK Pulo once the school is relocated to the Darul Hana Housing Development area here,” he told reporters after launching a Quran disposal facility at Darul Hana mosque yesterday.

The new school will be built on a five-acre land, situated at the Block 4 of the housing resettlement area. The primary school which is presently located at Kampung Semarang has a student population of 800.

“In Singapore, all students and teachers are now using iPad. This has become a medium for interactive learning in class.

“This also allows them to study from home if they are unable to attend school due to illness,” he said.
