MIRI: Miri Divisional Disaster Management Committee (MDDMC) minister-in-charge Datuk Lee Kim Shin and his team inspected standard operating procedures (SOPs) compliance at two driving institutes here on Sunday (Sept 5).

The team went to Institut Memandu City Miri and Institut Memandu Miri-Subis.

Driving institutes were given approval to resume operations on Sept 1; subject to additional SOPs laid down by the government.

“Instructors and learners must have completed two doses of vaccination, and learners or candidates should be at 50 percent of the normal capacity.

“They must wear face masks and wind down their car’s windows while they are in the car,” he said.

Lee, who is also Transport Minister, said that the windows in classrooms should also be kept open to improve ventilation.

Joining Lee during the inspection were acting Miri Resident Jamalie Busri, Miri City Council (MCC) secretary Morshidi Fredrick, Land Transport Licensing Officer Juti Dunggau and officers from Resident and District Offices.
