DEBAK: Two homes at the Entawa longhouse that were damaged by strong winds recently have caught the attention of Saribas assemblyman Mohammad Razi Sitam.

While visiting the residence of Dali Mula and Masli Umang, he announced immediate assistance under the Sarawak Poor Housing Improvement Project (PPRMS) for Saribas constituency.

“I sympathise with them after seeing the conditions of their residence. The roof was completely blown away.

“Hence, I have decided to help both of them through the PPRMS.”

Earlier, the Betong Social Welfare Office presented a contribution to the affected parties.

Razi explained that some 120 homes in Saribas were successfully repaired through PPRMS introduced by the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) government.

Meanwhile, Dali hoped that the government could assist her immediately.

“My house is now roofless and the situation is very sad.

“It becomes difficult when it rains as the interior of the house will be wet. So, this situation is very difficult.
