KUALA LUMPUR: Epiq announced its executive leadership changes with a newly-appointed chief executive officer (CEO) in place of its current CEO who will move up to executive chairman of the board.

According to a statement from Epiq, it has appointed David C. Dobson as the new CEO. John Davenport, Jr., who is the current CEO of Epiq, is named the executive chairman of the board.

“After a thorough search process, I’m looking forward to my new role as chairman and to working with David, who will continue to execute on our vision and strategy of being the premier global legal services partner to clients around the globe,” said Davenport.

Meanwhile, Dobson said he is looking forward to building on the momentum that Davenport and the team have created.

“We have a tremendous opportunity to further extend our leadership position in delivering high value services to our clients around the world,” said Dobson, who previously served as the chief executive officer of Digital River, a global e-commerce platform and services company. Epiq is founded by Davenport, then known as Document Technologies, in 1998 and grew the business from a handful of employees and clients to a billion dollar global organization.
