KUCHING: As a continuation from the ‘Government Lay School’ founded by Charles Anthoni Johnson Brooke in 1903, SMK Green Road was established since 1963.

An Alumni Homecoming Dinner was planned to commemorate the 54th year anniversary of the school.

Organised by the SMK Green Road Alumni, the event will be held on 16 July 2017 at the Imperial Hotel, here.

Alumni president Dr Haseanti Hussein said the event aims to reunite old friends and introduce new friends with the purpose of contributing back to the school.

“We are looking forward to meet up with all ex-Greenians, new and old,” she said.

“The school had helped to make us what we are today so we should do our part to help the school.”

Dr Haseanti, who is also a state health department senior assistant principal director, said the event hopes to assist aid for the refurbishment of their old school.
