KUCHING: Yayasan Perpaduan Sarawak (YPS) shared its book, Sarawak’s Pride Coffee Table Book, in commemorating Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye’s biography.
The foundation shared its book, which has won the Malaysian Book of Record, as an appreciation and to share the unity stories in Sarawak to Lee.
YPS’ chief executive officer Datuk Aloysius J Dris was invited to Lee’s autograph signing ceremony at Tun Jugah Mall last Tuesday (Aug 2).
Aloysius also had the opportunity to get Lee’s book “Call Lee Lam Thye: Recalling a Lifetime of Service” signed.
The foundation’s chief executive officer expressed his gratitude for having been invited and having the opportunity to not only meet again but also exchange some great views with Lee since their last meeting.
Sarawak’s Pride campaign took place in the first half of 2019 and again in 2020, and it was a collective success in breaking the Malaysian record for ‘Most Number of Unity Short Stories’ with 1118 short stories.
The stories in this book were all submitted by members of the general public with the authors including locals from Sarawak’s 12 divisions, non-Sarawakians, and foreigners.
